Elba is also highly appreciated by “Luna Rossa” and “Mascalzone Latino”, the two Italian boats that took part in the famous 2002 America’s Cup. The Mascalzone Latino team chose the island as its training base, and the team sponsored by Prada has never hidden its affection for the island.
Elba has also been the venue for the invitation match race event open to America’s Cup crews, the “Toscana Elba Cup – Trofeo Locman”, as well as for regattas organized around its coasts throughout the year.
The island offers numerous bays and ports for mooring sailing or motor boats and also attracts enthusiasts of kayaking, canoeing and windsurfing.
