Morcone bay is
only 2 Km far from tipical city of Capoliveri, lying on a hill in south-est zone
od yhe island. Capoliveri is well known and appreciated from the turists because
of its little strrets and landscapes on a lot of bays of the island. Lying on
the hill, in fact, tower over oriental side of the island with Portoazzurro Gulf
and western side with landscape on Stella Gulf till Capanne Mountain.
Capoliveri give to the tourist
who loves period few crowed of MAy and June resting and quiet walks in its lanes
wich wake up slowly from winter period. All around flowers' and fruits' smell
fill up air with mediterranean flavors. Who choise for holidays hottest periods
of July and August in the city will find shows, parties, little tipical shops.
Last sunday of September the citizens of Capoliveri organize Wine Party. During
this wekend people can eat and drink free products of island and city is shared
in 4 district:
il Fosso, la Torre, la Fortezza ed il Baluardo. The most beautiful district will
win an award.
From Capoliveri start a lot of
walks to Calamita Mountain to do by mountain-bike or trekking. History of
Capoliveri is proud of its mining past that every 14 May is remembered
during the traditional Moner's Party. Today Calamita Mountain, as larger part of
the island, is inside the National Park of Tuscan Archipelago, a very important
zone to see rare birds, animals and plants.

little isles, and all around the sea with transparent, wonderful water kiss
little bays rich of mediterranean plants wich you can reach only from the sea.
